Premiered in 1871 in Vienna, the operetta Indigo and the Forty Thieves was composed by Johann Strauss II to a German libreto by Maximilian Steiner with text based on "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves." We hear the Overture on Jan 13th at 8pm.
