Argentinian born Julian Hasse developed a career as a bandoneon player, arranger, and orchestra conductor. In 2006, he was selected to conduct a Tango Orchestra and to write original music for the World Cup in Frankfurt, Germany. As a music researcher, he has written scores of books about tango orchestration, bandoneon performance and repair, and the folk history of the bandoneon. He currently directs an Online Tango University from his home in Chapel Hill.
