Born in Lexington, Kentucky in 1924 (- 1979), Julia Amanda Perry was a prolific composer of neoclassical music during her relatively brief life. In her 55 years she completed 12 symphonies, two concertos, three operas and numerous smaller works, and won several awards and accolades.
