Every year, thousands of Jewish and Christian pilgrims from all over the world travel to Jerusalem to celebrate the fall Jewish holidays, known as “The Days of Awe” —10 days of repentance and renewal that begin at sunset on Rosh Hashanah and close with Yom Kippur, the solemn Day of Atonement.
This musical observance of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur includes music by Ernest Bloch, Samuel Adler, and performances by Chicago a cappella, Essential Voices USA, the Mizrahi/Sephardic ensemble Divahn, Moscow Choral Synagogue Male Choir and others.
