Voodoo Dolls inspire a composition on SymphonyCast, June 25th

This month we'll hear a composition by Jessie Montgomery Voodoo Dolls that was commissioned in 2008 and choreographed by the JUMP! Dance Company of Rhode Island. Each dance represents a different traditional children’s doll: Russian dolls, marionettes, rag dolls, Barbie, voodoo dolls… The piece is influenced by west African drumming patterns and lyrical chant motives. We hear it June 25th @ 8pm.
