An early work by Ravel on CSO, Thu 11/13 @ 8pm

Although Ravel composed the Minuet Antique as a young man in 1895, this work for the piano was orchestrated belatedly in 1929. It is typically composed of three parts like most minuets. Using modal effects, in this work, Ravel conveys the spirit of ancient religious songs.
