Support what You Love

Joining the family of Classical 91.5 with your financial gift strengthens WXXI's ability to deliver quality classical music programming, and helps enrich the cultural health and strength of our community.

Individual listeners who love and support classical music provide the majority (nearly 60%) of the support upon which Classical 91.5's success is built.   Underwriters, foundations, corporate giving and government funding also help support the programming that enhances your life every day.

You can also make an ongoing, monthly gift (by credit card or EFT) as a Sustainer of Classical 91.5.  You designate the amount that you wish to give each month and that automatically renews each year.  It's easy to update your credit/debit card info or change to EFT from your bank account at any time.

Why are you referring to the station as WXXO-FM?
In May 2023, WXXI purchased a second FM frequency (105.9 FM) to carry our NPR News/Talk programming that has been airing on WXXI-AM 1370. The new FM frequency allows WXXI News programming to better serve more people, especially during the fall and winter months when the FCC required pattern change for AM frequencies cuts out a large portion of the broadcast region, particularly to the east and west of Rochester.

Since WXXI now has two FM frequencies, the FCC requires two different sets of call letters. So, as of May 10, 2023, WXXI Classical changed its call letters to WXXO-FM 91.5. This change ONLY affects our LEGAL ID status - and our BRAND remains WXXI Classical or Classical 91.5, and our dial position remains FM 91.5.

I hope that explains things clearly. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask. Email classical@wxxi.org for more information.
