“Feminine Fusion” is a weekly radio program that highlights the influence of women in classical music. These are the women throughout history and into the present day who create, perform, and inspire. Composer/announcer Diane Jones of WCNY-FM in Syracuse, NY is your host, and every week showcases some of these remarkable women.
Diane Jones is a free-lance composer of chamber and solo music, based in Central New York. She is also an active performer, as a member of Samba Laranja and the Central New York Flute Choir. Diane is the mid-day host on WCNY-FM.

Native American musician Joanne Shenandoah was a citizen of the Oneida Nation in upstate New York. She was born in Syracuse and grew up on the Oneida Reservation where she learned traditional songs and music styles, and played piano, guitar, flute, and cello. We'll meet her 4/16 @ 10p.

Born in Amsterdam on December 6, 1895, composer Henriëtte Hilda Bosmans made her debut as a concert pianist with the Utrecht Municipal Orchestra in November 1915. We'll learn more about her with host Diane Jones on Jan 8th at 8pm.
