Live from Hochstein: Ekstasis Duo - Nocturnes & Nostalgia, 4/22

Natasha Farny is seated, playing the cello - seen in profile, sitting next to Eiliran Avni who is playing the piano and looking sideways at Natasha. We are looking through the open lid of the piano, which is framing the image, set against a wood paneled background.

The Ekstasis Duo, Natasha Farny (cello) and Eliran Avni (piano), began their collaboration in 2018 and has since appeared on national stages across the United States. Their Live From Hochstein program includes a treasure trove of relatively unknown works by composers such as Lili Boulanger, Manuel de Falla, Jennifer Higdon, and Gaspar Cassadó.

You're invited to experience Live from Hochstein with the Ekstasis Duo on Wednesday, April 22nd at 12:10pm, in person at the Hochstein Performance Hall (50 N. Plymouth Avenue, downtown Rochester) or by listening to the live broadcast on WXXI Classical.

Live from Hochstein with host Mona Seghatoleslami is a series of midday concerts by some of the finest artists in our area broadcast live from The Hochstein Performance Hall. Each of these free concerts runs from 12:10-12:50 p.m., giving downtown business people, teachers, families, students, and friends an opportunity to enjoy classical music by outstanding musicians, including soloists, duos, and vocal and chamber ensembles. You can also hear an encore broadcast of Live from Hochstein later the same day at 10 p.m. on WXXI Classical.
