The month of May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Celebrate with Classical California's two-hour special, Friendship and Harmony: Celebrating Asian and Pacific Americans in Classical Music.

Hosted by Suraj Partha, the special highlights some of the AAPI classical musicians and composers who have shaped the sound of classical music in America, like Yo-Yo Ma and Silkroad Ensemble, Queen Liliuokalani, Jiji, Mahani Teave, Anne-Akiko Myers, Christopher Tin, Reena Esmail, Jon Nakamatsu, Kent Nagano, and Midori.

Suraj Partha is an on-air host and content creator for Classical California. He is also an actor in film and television and a musician with a degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music.
