The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra has named 82-year-old Indian-born Maestro Zubin Mehta as the orchestra's new Conductor Emeritus.
Current LA Philharmonic Music Director Gustavo Dudamel has referred to Mehta as a "trusted mentor and friend..." "To follow in his footsteps...is a true honor...this city and this orchestra would not be the same without him."
