Over the last several months, your RPO has been working behind-the-scenes to plan an updated 2020-21 season for you. Throughout this ever changing process, one thing has remained constant: the safety of the musicians, staff, and patrons is of the utmost importance.
As New York State guidelines continue to be fluid, the RPO has announced that all concerts originally scheduled for September, October, and November 2020 will not be presented as planned. This includes all Philharmonics, Pops, Sunday Matinee, and orKIDStra Series performances, as well as Specials.
As so many organizations have done, the RPO turned to virtual performances during this coronavirus pandemic. To serve you moving forward, Music Director Ward Stare and Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik have created Philharmonics and Pops concerts we think you’ll enjoy – from your living room! Specials concerts from Fall 2020, as well as cancelled Specials from the end of the 2019-20 Season, will be rescheduled in an expanded 2021 RPO Outdoor Summer Season.
