
Nicholas Goluses is one of America’s leading classical guitarists and a distinguished pedagogue. He serves as Professor of Guitar at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he received the Eisenhart Award for Excellence in Teaching. Deeply connected to the Rochester music community, he has frequently appeared as a soloist with ensembles such as the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rochester Chamber Orchestra, and Eastman’s own Eastman Virtuosi.
Goluses’s concert tours as a soloist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist have taken him across North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia to critical acclaim. His performances in major New York venues—including Carnegie Hall's Weill Hall, Merkin Hall, and Alice Tully Hall—have been praised for their elegance, virtuosity, and expressive power.
An active champion of new music, Goluses has given over 100 world premieres, including concertos and solo works written for him by leading composers. His extensive discography spans labels such as Linn Records, Naxos, and Albany Records, and includes collaborations with the Eastman Philharmonia Chamber Orchestra and the Eastman Wind Ensemble.
