Burt Mason, Trombone

Principal Trombone of the Chamber Orchestra of New York, Burt Mason regularly performs with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and serves on faculty of the Juilliard School’s Preparatory Division. He has appeared as guest artist with the NY Philharmonic and as soloist with numerous ensembles worldwide.

Burt's recording credits include the motion-picture soundtracks: A Dog’s Purpose, the Lion King and Space Jam 2: A new Legacy. He made his Carnegie Hall solo debut in March 2018. He has performed under the baton of Dudamel, Tilson Thomas, Masur, Rostropovich, Salonen and Nézet- Séguin in world-renowned venues from Royal Albert Hall to Carnegie Hall.
