Kathryn Brown, viola

Kathryn Brown is a graduate student studying viola performance and music education at the Eastman School of Music with George Taylor. Kathryn received her degree in Music Education from Illinois State University. An advocate for access to quality music education for aspiring musicians of all backgrounds, Kathryn is a Golden Apple Scholar of Illinois. Golden Apple provides teacher candidates with scholarship in return for service in schools of need in Illinois. Kathryn currently serves as a member of the American Viola Society’s Youth Advisory Council and teaches at the Eastman Community Music School.
