Stephen McLean, trumpet

An up-and-coming trumpet player, Stephen McLean exemplifies artistry and musical versatility. He is equally proficient playing classical solo repertoire as he is playing Lead Trumpet in a Big Band setting. A double major in music and history, McLean received his two bachelor degrees from SUNY Buffalo State College. McLean made his solo debut as the winner of Buffalo State College 2013 Young Artist Competition, when he performed the Haydn's Trumpet Concerto in E-flat with the Philharmonia Orchestra under Maestro Paul Ferington. Stephen accepted a performance fellowship to join the MM program in trumpet at Pennsylvania State University in Fall 2013.
