Thapelo Masita, cello

Thapelo Masita aims to use his music to help further the arts in his home country of South Africa. He completed a Bachelor of Music degree in cello performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and a Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School. Masita studied as a member of the Mangaung String Program in Bloemfontein, South Africa, and completed his senior year of high school at Interlochen. While at Interlochen, he had the opportunity to engage in a creative exchange between Interlochen and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
