Samuel Thompson, violin

Samuel Thompson enjoys a career that includes solo, orchestra, chamber music and interdisciplinary performance and arts journalism. A two-time recipient of Artistic Assistance Awards from Alternate ROOTS made possible with funds from the Ford Foundation, Kresge Foundation, Open Society Foundation and the Nathan Cummings Foundation, Samuel has appeared as soloist with the Colour of Music Virtuosi in addition to concerts and recitals in New York, New Haven, Washington DC, Baltimore, Houston, Austin, Chicago, Miami, and both Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina.
