Javian Brabham, trumpet

Assistant Professor of Trumpet at Valdosta State University and principal trumpet of the Valdosta Symphony and Albany Symphony Orchestras (GA), Javian Brabham maintains an active performance schedule including performances with the Gateways Music Festival, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, New Mexico Philharmonic, Florida State University Faculty Brass Quintet, Northwest Florida Symphony, Sinfonia Gulf Coast. A recipient of the ITG Legacy Scholarship and multiple semi-finalist at the National Trumpet Competition, he has also taught on the faculty at Young Harris College as the Assistant Director of Bands and served as a published contributor to the International Trumpet Guild Journey. Brabham holds a Doctor of Music from Florida State University in Trumpet Performance with a certification in college teaching. In addition, he completed a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Music Education from Florida State University.
