This year Brenda Tremblay and Josh Bassette co-hosted a program of music, art, history and stories from the Memorial Art Gallery.
Four artists were honored as Merit Award winners, including the Exceptional First Time Clothesline Art Festival Exhibitor, at the Annual M&T Bank Clothesline Art Festival, held September 9th and 10th at the Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester. Winners were chosen from over 300 artists from across the country for the awards, which recognize extraordinary quality, craftsmanship, creativity, and/or outstanding presentation.
The 2023 Merit Awards Winners are:
• Kay Lewicke (Persistence Goods) Fairport, NY
• Anna Overmoyer (Anna's Sketch Studio) Rochester, NY
• Shikha Rungza (The Attic Company) Edison, NJ

The history of the gallery is fascinating!

During the event, we discovered that Rochester may be the home to the only full-time fairy door workshop. Meet the artists of Blue Toucan Studios.

Special guests on the air included MAG interim director Mike Marsh, security ambassador Deanna Crane, City magazine writer Rebecca Rafferty, long-time docent Heidi Friedrich, and organist Alessio Giacobone, who offered this audio tour of the Eastman Italian Baroque Organ.
