This March, Mu Phi Epsilon, a musicians' fraternity, is presenting its Musician of the Year award to composer and performer Cary Ratcliff.  Cary has devoted his life to making music.  He’ll be honored in a special concert of his music in Kilbourn Hall on Sunday, March 12th at 4:00 p.m.

WXXI’s Brenda Tremblay spoke to Cary about his high school music teacher at Santa Clara High School in Santa Clara, California. When Cary was a student, he says, Mr. Duane Garton offered a beautiful lesson for the whole school.
