Meet Ken Kreuzer, a composer and teacher of brass and percussion at Honeoye Falls

Dr. Ken Kreuzer, a native of Webster, New York, studied composition with Dr. Mark Taggart and Dr. Robert Carl. He is a graduate of Ithaca College, East Carolina University, and the University of Hartford, where he received a doctorate of musical arts in music composition.

He teaches fourth and fifth grade band at Manor Elementary in Honeoye Falls. After years of writing for professional musicians, he says that writing for his students has refined how he composes.
