Poulenc: Sextet for Winds and Piano, Op. 100

This concert features one-time only collaborations of Eastman School faculty and RPO members including Rebecca Gilbert, flute; Erik Behr, oboe; William Amsel, clarinet; Matthew McDonald, bassoon; W. Peter Kurau, horn; and Chiao-Wen Cheng, piano.

The full Colors of France concert included Claude Debussy’s Syrinx, Maurice Ravel’s Pièce en Forme de Habanera, Camille Saint-Saëns’s Romance, Vincent d’Indy’s Sarabande et Menuet, Paul Taffanel’s Wind Quintet in G Minor, Maurice Emmanuel’s Sonata for Flute, Clarinet, and Piano, and the work we hear today, Francis Poulenc’s Sextet for Winds and Piano.
