Recently President Trump presented his full budget proposal to Congress. As expected, it proposes to eliminate funding for public media organizations, including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) as of October 1, 2017 (much sooner than expected). Although CPB only accounts for 12% of WXXI's budget, this is still a significant loss.
All public media organizations, including television and radio, are working together to make the case for support, but there's a role for you as well.
