On Record with Andreas Delfs: A RPO 21-22 Overview

What a difference a year makes.

Thirteen months ago, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra canceled the first half of the season. The rest of the season would fall some months later. Now, we await opening night with the RPO and the new Music Director, Andreas Delfs. Maestro Delfs sat down with WXXI Classical Music Director Julia Figueras to talk about building the new season, seeking out new voices, and why this orchestra is so special to him...and to our community.

A Strong Memorial baby and Greece Arcadia grad, Julia Figueras was the Music Director and mid-day host for WXXI Classical until June 30, 2023 when she retired after more than 26 years of service. She also hosted the award-winning monthly interview/performance show, Backstage Pass.
