Fort Wayne Philharmonic Principal Violist Derek Reeves began his musical studies at the age of 2 1/2. A graduate of Indiana University, he was the recipient of a Performer’s Certificate, as well as having earned Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. Prior to coming to Fort Wayne, he held the positions of Associate Concertmaster of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Concertmaster of the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, and Associate Concertmaster of the Evansville Philharmonic. He is also in demand as a recitalist, recording studio musician, and arranger.
