2/5 Cellist Sara Flexer plays an arrangement of Brahms’ Viola Sonata and baritone Raghav Ramgopal sings Ideale Melodia by Francesco Paulo Tosti. Both performers are from California.

2/12 In recognition of Black History Month, this highlight program celebrates outstanding performances by Black musicians on From the Top through the years. We’ll hear oboist David Norville perform a sonata by Hindemith; pianist Kiesse Nanor performs Widmung by Robert Schumann; violist Peirce Ellis plays a suite by Ernest Bloch; marimba player Jeremy Davis plays Land by Takatsugu Muramatsu and much more.

2/26 Pianist Joshua Mhoon plays the victorious finale from Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite; plus pianist Andrew Gu plays a Beethoven sonata; violinist Sarah Ma plays Romance by Amy Beach; saxophonist Jayme Billings plays selections by Darius Milhaud; and violinists Vibha Janakiraman plays Darshan by Reena Esmail.
