Born in Buenos Aires in April 1916, Alberto Ginastera has been referred to as an Argentinian Stravinsky, Bartok, Falla, Debussy and Villa-Lobos. He also has taken inspiration from Copland after coming to the U.S. We'll hear these inspirations woven seamlessly on Fiesta.

3/2 Leo Brouwer plays the Guitar Composer Leo Brouwer was considered one of the greatest guitar players in the world until a car accident put an end to his career as an instrumentalist. On this episode of Fiesta, we will hear Brower playing some of his most famous works as well as music by other composers.

3/9 The Latin Side of Daniel Barenboim From Manuel de Falla to Astor Piazzolla, Albeniz to Ginastera, and Villa-Lobos to even traditional tangos and samba, conductor Daniel Barenboim has often shown his taste for Spanish and Latin American music. On this Fiesta, we will share some of our favorite recordings of the maestro.
