1/21 *NEW TIME* 9:00pm         The Glory of the Spanish Renaissance The featured work on this week’s program of music from Renaissance and Baroque Spain is Joan Cererols’ Missa pro defunctis, written during the Great Barcelona Plague. Jordi Savall’s reading of works for viola da gamba by Diego Ortiz round out the program.

1/28      Enfoque: Focus on “The Spanish Massenet” Ruperto Chapí  Ruperto Chapí is known best for his 150 zarzuelas. However, he composed in every genre. This week, we’ll sample some of Chapí’s music for the concert hall as well as the theater.
