Sphinx Competition winner Elena Urioste on Concierto, 03/19/19

ELENA URIOSTE, amusingly hailed by The Washington Post as “a drop-dead beauty who plays with equal parts passion, sensuality, brains and humor,” was recently selected as a BBC New Generation Artist and has been featured on the cover of Symphony magazine.

This time Frank Dominguez shares a performance by Sphinx competition winner Elena Urioste. She plays a sonata by Janacek, and the Simon Bolivar String Quartet debuts with a recording of the Quartet No. 1 by Alberto Ginastera.
