This month we'll meet this teenage bassoonist from Venezuela who performs on an encore program from Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Room (1/26).

1/5       From the Walt Disney Concert Hall, we’re featuring a fantastic line-up of young people alongside one of the greatest orchestras in the world, the Los Angeles Philharmonic! We’ll hear the premiere of a new work by a teenage composer, a 12-year-old violinist likens virtuosic playing to figure skating, and a young bassoonist brilliantly performs Mozart.

1/12      From Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine, guest host Orli Shaham presents a program featuring music from Sarasate, Saint-Saëns, and Ravel.

1/19      From the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, we’ll hear a teenage composer’s beautiful piece that was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece Fallingwater, a young violinist shares how she hasn’t missed a single day of practicing yet, and a classical guitarist performs Bach.

1/26      From Carnegie Hall’s beautiful Weill Music Room in New York City, this show brings together a line up of fantastic young musicians from across the nation and beyond. We hear an 11-year-old violinist from New York stunningly perform Hubay’s Carmen Fantasie Brillante, we meet a pianist from Los Angeles who views performing as a form of service, and a teenage bassoonist from Venezuela, now studying at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, dazzles the audience with his mature musicality and virtuosity.
