From the Top alum Molly Yeh went on to study percussion at Juilliard. During her studies in New York, she fell in love with food and now works as a chef and has published several cookbooks. This month, she returns to host From the Top on 3/15.

3/1        Hosted by pianist Peter Dugan, this documentary style episode of From the Top features six of the 23 young pianists (age 13 to 17) chosen to participate in two weeks of high-level competition and intense artistic development at the 2019 Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition and Festival in Dallas, Texas.

3/8        From the Calderwood Hall at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, we’ll hear a young cellist from Tennessee play Popper, and a sibling violin duo from New Hampshire take on Paganini. Peter Dugan hosts.

3/15      This week’s guest host is chef, percussionist and From the Top alum Molly Yeh. This week, she returns to introduce us to a talented teenage bassoonist from rural Oklahoma and a 17-year-old pianist who delivers a fiery performance of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.

3/22      From picturesque Longwood Gardens outside Philadelphia, this week’s guest host Peter Dugan, features a young violinist who got her start in the El Sistema-inspired music program, Play-On Philly, a violin and guitar duo that performs a dramatic tango, and a young cellist who once performed at a Chicago Bulls game.
