July 2020 Highlights for Sunday Baroque

Host Suzanne Bona presents a musical celebration for Bastille Day (7/12 broadcast) with an all-French program of music to commemorate the Revolution.

7/5        It’s an All-American celebration of our nation’s birthday including some of the greatest hits of the Baroque era (Including Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks!) by outstanding ensembles from around the country.

7/12      In anticipation of France's upcoming Bastille Day (7/14), Sunday Baroque presents an all-French program of music from the decades leading up to the Revolution.

7/19      Sunday Baroque celebrates the overlooked artistry of a number of less well known but exquisitely talented 17th and 18th century musicians.

7/26      Summer music festivals may be suspended but we’ll celebrate the festival season listening to recordings from The Boston Early Music Festival, the Berkeley Festival in California, the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival in Connecticut, the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute in Canada, and more.
