Classical music chart-topping all-female a capella quartet Anonymous 4 presents music of 14th century Spain on the 9/28 broadcast.

9/7        Music from the Spanish Empire  Cuba, as well as the Philippines, ad a rich musical tradition prior to the arrival of Spanish conquistadors. This week, we'll hear dances from these countries. as well as from Spain.

9/14      Spanish Composers of the Mid-20th Century Spanish classics from the mid-20 th century, including works from by Joaquín Rodrigo, Federico Moreno-Torroba, and Julián Menéndez for clarinet, guitar, and piano.

9/21      Los Halffter: Two Brothers, Two Countries  This week’s program focuses on composers and siblings Rodolfo and Ernesto Halffter. One remained in Spain, one made a life in Mexico. They were members of the Generación de '27 (the Generation of 1927), a Spanish vanguard of artists that included Picasso, Garcia Lorca, Buñuel, Dalí and Mompou.

9/28      Music from Mediaeval Spain  The female a capella quartet Anonymous 4 present selections from Burgos’ Codex Las Huelgas, dating from the turn of the 14th century.
