Meet the musicians of Morningside Music Bridge, From the Top in February 2021

The primary objectives of the Morningside Music Bridge program are to, identify and promote outstanding young artists; create educational and performance opportunities; create development opportunities for music educators; promote inter-cultural understanding; expand community and corporate-based support; develop long-term international partnerships and build bridges of understanding. On the Feb 28th broadcast we'll hear some of the MMB's young musicians.

2/7        Host Peter Dugan features 11-year-old guitarist Emilia Diaz Delgado, teenage violinist Eunice Lee performing Sarasate, and young composer William Jae shares a new work. 

2/14      From the Center for the Arts at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, guest hosts Greg Anderson and Elizabeth Roe join a teenage piano duo for an electric performance of In the Hall of the Mountain King. We’ll also hear from pianist Kiesse Nanor, violist Natalie Brenneck, violinist Phillip Hammond, and countertenor Sam Higgins.  

2/21      Co-hosted by Peter Dugan and violinist Tessa Lark, we’ll hear oboist Spencer Rubin from Woodbury, New York perform Bach with Tessa. She’ll also perform two Bartok Duos with Bobby Boogyeom Park, a young violinist from Queens. Plus trumpeter Benjamin D’Haiti from Virginia and guitarist Daniela Santiage from Texas.

2/28      Guest Host and cellist Paul Katz joins us from the 23rd annual Morningside Music Bridge program held at New England Conservatory. We’ll hear from pianists Susanne Ruberg-Gordon and Mohammad Alsheikh, cellist Nahar Eliza, the duo of violist Yizilin Liang and pianist Qiuning Jonie Huang and more.
