https://fromthetop.org/

From the Top’s host Peter Dugan invites you to subscribe to "Daily Joy," a campaign that began in the very early days of quarantine and continues today to offer a much-needed respite from the anxiety and worry that we encounter in the news. In April we'll go back to the first "Blanket Fort" episode.  Tune in to the show, Sundays at 5pm.

4/5        Co-hosted by Peter Dugan and Tessa Lark co-host a remote program with pianist Brandon Hwang performing Chopin; bassoonist Nathan Shepherd performing a sonata by Camille Saint-Saens; Spencer Rubin performs an oboe concerto by J.S. Bach with violinist Tessa Lark; and Jack Kent Cooke Award-winning guitarist Daniela Santiago performs two works, one that she arranged.

4/11      We re-visit From the Top’s first “Blanket Fort” episode, where young musicians were performing from their homes in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. We hear cellist Cameron Chiu perform a Bach Prelude, violinist Alexandra Woroniecka performs Sea-Shell by Carl Engel, Jack Kent Cook Award winner and double bassist Braden Ellis performs Massenet’s Meditation from Thaïs and more.

4/18      Orli Shaham hosts this program from Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Music Center in New York and recording studios in California, Chicago, and Alabama.  Pianist Kevin Cho performs Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, violinist Esme Arias-Kim performs Estrellita by Manuel M. Ponce and more.
