The Little Theater went virtual

During the pandemic, we've all learned to be creative about how we do the things we love. The film industry did the same, with the return of the Drive-In and streaming films. Now as movie theaters begin to open, host Edmund Stone looks back at the Rise of Streaming, the 2021 Academy Awards and shares some Feel Good Movies, we'll all be glad to enjoy.

4/3        Hoppy Easter  Get that warm and fuzzy feeling as host Edmund Stone features all things Bunny. Whether they’re bringing baskets of Easter goodies in Hop and Rise of the Guardians, playing slam-dunking with Michael Jordan in Space Jam, or saving society from bigotry in Zootopia, rabbits are bound to make you smile.

4/10      The Rise of Streaming   We're all staying in a bit more than we used to do but have no fear, movie lovers have discovered online streaming of movies from the comfort of their own couch. Edmund explores how Hollywood has embraced streaming not just as a way to distribute blockbusters like Wonder Woman ’84 and Disney’s Mulan, but a wide array of films - from classic oldies like Bogie and Bacall in The Big Sleep to powerful dramas from A list directors such as Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods.

4/17      Academy Awards The 2021 Academy Awards will be unlike any other. Streaming came into its own with the first-ever inclusion of films that had no theatrical releases being eligible to receive an Oscar. Animation powerhouse Pixar debuted Soul; Netflix streamed The Midnight Sky and The Trial of the Chicago Seven; Nomadland had a simultaneous release on Hulu and theaters. Edmund Stone looks down the virtual red carpet.

4/24      Feel Good Movies, Part 1 - Increase your happiness quotient with some of the most heart-warming films guaranteed to lift your spirits. Feel the joy of following your dreams with Up; laugh and cry a bit with comedy master Robin Williams’ emotional tour de force Mrs. Doubtfire, and relive how love conquers all in the romantic drama Dirty Dancing. Relax, enjoy and smile to the music of uplifting movies.
