Scene from Enchanted April

Filmed in Genoa in May 1991, Enchanted April is just one of the films that will bring bouquets of music and beauty to gardeners and music lovers everywhere.  An oboe rendition of Elgar's "Chanson de Matin" is a recurring theme. May 8th at 10am and 6pm.

5/1        Feel Good Movies, Part 2  Get ready for more good times as you cheer for the underdog with Forest Gump, dance among the stars with La La Land, and step away from the crowd with How to Train Your Dragon. The perfect potion to lift your spirits.

5/8        For the Love of Gardens Edmund Stone brings a bouquet of music about gardens and gardeners. Sow the seeds of joy with Being There, take a musical stroll on the terraces of a medieval castle on the Mediterranean in Enchanted April, and peek into the fantastic gardens with Alice in Wonderland.

5/15      Everyday Heroes  No cape. No mask. Just a moral compass. Edmund Stone celebrates doing the right thing with a tribute to ordinary people doing extraordinary things with music from films such as Schindler’s List, Red Tails, and Finest Hour.

5/22      May the Mentor be with You  Whether you are one or had one, mentors are the guiding force for many of us on the paths of our lives. Enjoy the music to the special bonds between Yoda and Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back, the practically perfect nanny to the Banks children in Mary Poppins, and take an epic journey of spirit with Gandalf and Frodo in The Lord of the Rings.

5/29      Eco-Friendly - Green is Good This week on The Score Edmund Stone invites you to take a closer listen to one of the “hottest” topics of our time - climate change or as the movies call it: “Cli-Fi”. Explore the soundtracks from movies such as Happy Feet, Medicine Man and David Attenborough’s A Perfect Planet. It’s a powerful topic, filled with great music… and hope.
