Hochstein faculty member Huiping Cai, piano, presents “Liszt at 140,” a program that will explore the many faces of love in Liszt’s music, from the poetic devotion of Petrarch’s Sonetto 104 del Petrarca, to the dramatic entanglements of Verdi’s Rigoletto, and culminating in the heroic passion and struggle of the Ballade No. 2 in B Minor.
