Classical guitarist Jason Vieaux’s career reflects the versatility (and the portability) of his instrument. He’s apt to show up anywhere, from a symphony orchestra concert to NPR’s “Tiny Desk” concert series, from teaching at the venerated Curtis Institute of Music to giving online lessons.
The award-winning Vieaux performs throughout the world, but Rochester played an important part in his early studies. He returns to give a solo recital, “An Evening in Granada,” at the Hochstein Performance Hall on March 21. [He'll also be on the radio program Backstage Pass broadcast live Friday March 20th at 1pm on WXXI Classical 91.5].
