Water Music Redux

While we celebrated the 300th anniversary of one of the world’s strangest gigs with Handel’s Water Music throughout the day on the radio on WXXI Classical 91.5, a few others were making a splash with some thoughts on Water Music. Here are a couple articles that caught my attention that I thought you might like too.

The Onion AV Club got in on the celebrations with some fun commentary and good listening links in The king’s barge-time Muzak playlist: The 300-year reign of Water Music 

If you can make it to London by the end of the year, you can see an exhibit about Handel’s Water Music, including the earliest surviving source of the music
