Victorian Playlist

Prince Albert at the keys, while Queen Victoria and Felix Mendelssohn look on
Prince Albert at the keys, while Queen Victoria and Felix Mendelssohn look on

After having so much fun researching and speaking about the music that surrounded Queen Victoria, in her personal and public life, I have decided to create a Spotify playlist of some of that music.  It's a crazy anachronism, I know, but if I put it on a wax cylinder or one of Edison's machines, I don't think it would be as useful for you.

Whether you're a fan of Victoria from Masterpiece on PBS, a history buff, or just listening for a weird mix of tunes, check it out, and I hope you enjoy.

* Some of the tracks from the show itself won't play - I hope to figure out what is up with that asap.

** Bonus track: The British Library has the program from Victoria's coronation available to view online!
