Laetare Sunday
The Fourth Sunday in Lent is often celebrated as Laetare Sunday, from the opening words of the Latin introit for the day, Laetare Jerusalem. “Laetare” means “rejoice,” and music for this day will provide a brief respite from Lenten introspection and reflection.
