Embark on a musical adventure through Baroque Europe over lunch with the Trio Speranza on Live from Hochstein, Wednesday October 31st (12:10-12:50pm).
Experience the bold virtuosity of 17th Century Italy, the boundless variety of the Stylus Phantasticus in Austria, and the beauty and refinement of the High Baroque in France.
Trio Speranza is a dynamic new ensemble dedicated to presenting engaging and thought-provoking performances of both familiar and lesser-known repertoire from the Baroque era. The group, comprising violinist/violist Anna Griffis, cellist Cora Swenson Lee, and harpsichordist Jason Moy, made their debut in a Boston Early Music Festival Fringe Concert at the historic Trinity Church on Copley Square in the summer of 2013. They have since appeared on Pegasus Early Music’s Pegasus Rising series for young artists, the Landowska Harpsichord Society Series, and at the BEMF Fringe Festival.
You're invited to come out to hear the music in person at the Hochstein Performance Hall (50 N. Plymouth Avenue, downtown Rochester) or listen to it broadcast live on WXXI Classical 91.5.
