A number of classical musicians were recognised in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours. Sir Mark Elder CBE, music director of the Hallé and former Music Director of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra was made a Companion of Honour. He'll conduct the May 30th broadcast.
