About one third of food for worldwide consumption goes to waste annually, according to a United Nations report. 

In Pittsburgh, musicians are collaborating with food rescue organizations to do something about it.

“It’s been a positive, incredible way to get music out into the community,” says Lorien Hart of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. “There’s always at least one moment where we say ‘yes, this is why we do this.’ We’re so glad to be taking this music out into the community.”
