Did we say thank you?
Just look at this.
It's good news about Classical 91.5 listeners from Stuart Hencke, Deputy Director at Rochester Education Foundation, who writes:
We are so happy with this year’s Music in Our School's Month (MIOSM) integration! Your listeners (and all of us, of course) just love you so much! They were really motivated to bring in instruments. And bring them in they did! We received 19 through the drive including a cello, an oboe, a trumpet that marched in the Rose Bowl and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parades, two instruments that the donor’s daughter’s music teacher ex-boyfriend left behind when he moved out of their house, a keyboard that made its rounds in the Albany jazz scene, a left-handed electric guitar, and many more. One donor who didn’t have an instrument to donate purchased a classroom set of kid’s tambourines! As we’ve mentioned, best of all we’re over 2,000 instruments and are now up to 2,012 overall.
We couldn’t have done it without you! We receive instruments year-round but this has been one of our most fruitful months the last two years when we’ve worked together so thank you very much!
Still have an instrument to donate? It's not too late, of course. Click here.
Thank you!
