So much great teaching takes place in music school and conservatories across the country, where students are trained to teach the next generation.  American conductor and former Music Director of the RPO David Zinman spoke with WXXI’s Brenda Tremblay about the conductor he met at Tanglewood.  Maestro Zinman says the legendary Pierre Monteux changed his life.

In November 2016, American conductor David Zinman, whose career has been distinguished by a wide-ranging repertoire, a commitment to contemporary music, and the introduction of historically informed performance practice, was appointed Distinguished Visiting Artist at the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester.
