The RPO's 22-23 season kicks off with an exciting night of Beethoven.

BEETHOVEN Ruins of Athens Overture
BEETHOVEN Violin Concerto in D Major
BEETHOVEN Symphony No. 5 in C Minor

Violin superstar Gil Shaham returns to Rochester playing Beethoven’s only violin concerto, arguably his most lyrical work. Then, four famous notes signal the symphony which brought Music Director Andreas Delfs to Kodak Hall for the first time as a guest conductor with the RPO in 1994.

Described as “the world’s most famous symphony,” Beethoven’s heroic Fifth stands as a cornerstone of Western Music and is beloved by audiences far and wide.
