Over time, the prelude has evolved into a distinct genre with a variety of styles. In this concert, pianist Yi-Wen Chang will explore the prelude from different musical periods, including selections by Bach, Hummel, Chopin, Duckworth, and Kapustin, along with a prelude of her own.
You're invited to hear this music on Live from Hochstein on Wednesday, November 20th, at 12:10pm, in person at the Hochstein Performance Hall (50 N. Plymouth Avenue, downtown Rochester) or by listening to the live broadcast on WXXI Classical.
